Park Run

Martin and I have just started doing the Park Run every Saturday morning (9am) at Bushy Park. It's a fantastically well organised free 5km run, where you are times and all your performances are recorded so you can track your progress.

Park Run events are held across the UK including ones in Wimbledon, Richmond Park, Greenwich Park and Brockwell park.

To run all you have to do is go on their website, enter your details and print out the bar code you are sent. Then bring this barcode with you to the event, as it gets scanned after you finished - providing you with a time. With the barcode you can run at any location you chose.

The events are fun and ocassionally there are pace makers who can help you acheive pbs. If you want to improve speed and want to monitor your fitness and improvements this is a great run to do - something both Martin and myself recommend.
